Notes:

Jason Kenney read a statement about the Fall of Saigon which contained some unusual claims about the political violence that followed. Tells a completely scrambled version of the boat people crisis, and takes credit for the "stranded' refugees that he 'rescued' while he was minister of immigration. Here is a man very dedicated to the Saigon military regime.

Jason Kenney also made a motion to recognize Journey to Freedom Day. See quotations pp 626-627. Further discussion of motion on pp. 628-632. Long speech with another scrambled version of the boat people story. He is doing his bit to support the revised history. Others tell first person stories that have no connection to what Kenney was saying other that the contextualization. Typically, no one dares call Kenney on his fabrications. Motion passed.
