Notes: Documents conflict and intimidation in the Toronto Vietnamese community without nailing down the political causes behind it. She does not mention what Canadian politicians are contributing to the conflict since 2015. The author has been influenced by the revisionist histories of the community and relates those as background information. She does not seem to be aware that she is quoting revisionist history and in this error illustrates that not all of the community is aware that they are being stereotyped by revisionist histories. Two later papers by this author show great progress in her understanding of the politics involved, particularly her 2019 paper. |
