Conference was held while the crisis was at its peak in late 1979. The purpose was to inform Canadian involved with background information about the policies and the people who were arriving. On the whole the papers contain very useful information, especially about government policy as it was evolving at the time.

Since our mission is to understand Canadian perceptions and responses to the refugees, this is an ideal resource.
